READING
Insist that your children read for 20 minutes every day at home.
Let your children see you reading.
Read to your children.
Have your children read to you.
Ask your children to retell what they read.
Ask your children questions that make them think about what
they are reading:
Who? What? When? Where? Why? How?
MATH
Review math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division) with your children.
Ask your children to explain multiple ways to solve math problems.
Play the Math Investigations games with your children.
Ask your children to tell time, count money, solve problems, and
use measurement tools during their daily lives.
